A CRG client in the NW Arkansas area is looking for a Retail Audit Advisor for their growing team. Our client is an industry leader that provides software and automating services. Pay: $53k-58k Salary

Duties:

  • Complete assigned audit projects in a thorough and timely fashion.  Projects include complex Qualified Record Sets (QR’s), Supplier Agreement Allowances, duplicate payments, statement review, contract audits, deal audits, buyer’s file audits, and research into a client’s systems or data in search for claim opportunities
  • Generate valid and fully researched claims that result in a limited number of paybacks
  • Understand the logic behind the majority of claim types in the retail audit industry and the arguments as to why the claims are valid
  • Follow the audit project instructions assigned by the Audit Manager while also reflecting on ways to improve the audit project’s scope and cycle time.  Communicate these areas to fellow auditors and audit manager
  • Full knowledge base of client systems and business rules
  • Strong knowledge of the Retail environment as a whole: AP systems, common merchandising practices, and common vendor practices
  • Understand the fields within the client data sets and the possible uses for locating and validating claims within that data
  • Recognition and timely internal escalation of all issues which threaten the successful execution of a project
  • Understand the business rules and basic logic behind the Qualified Record Sets that are being reviewed.  Also, knowledge of how to construct basic scoping documents for new qualified records
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with all client and vendor personnel
  • Handle all vendor correspondence for the claims generated and effectively gain approval for claims that are valid
  • Effectively communicate with buyer’s – including claim presentation and effectiveness in obtaining buyer approvals
  • Reverse Engineer competitors claims utilizing the competitor’s claim copies, client data, client systems and business knowledge
  • Typical audit projects are complex Qualified Record Set (QR) review, vendor audits, department audits, contract audits, deal audits, and buyer’s pull audits.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years or more experience in accounting, Accounts Payable, or auditing. Previous experience in the retail recovery audit industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skill set and a strong desire to perform extensive research and draw conclusions from that research. 
  • Self starter with the capability to analyze a vendor’s systems, business rules, and data without detailed instructions.
  • Demonstrated a skill set by generating thorough claims, generating claims outside of standard qualified record sets, and demonstrating the ability to handle autonomous research.
  • Knowledge of client ERP systems, as well as ability to learn the proprietary software, process, and procedure quickly.
  • Knowledge of the Retail Industry, their trends, and major players.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration degree is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.???????
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Should be able to clearly explain and defend claims to the client and their vendors while maintaining good relationships.
  • Skill in the use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Ability to work well in both a team setting and autonomously.
