Sr. Audit Advisor

Our global client is looking for a Senior Audit Advisor to join their team. This company is growing and offers competitive benefits, bonus, work life balance, and career advancement opportunities. This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States. This position manages and undertakes operational aspects of the audit engagement ensuring the profitable maximization of recoveries for both the company and the client.

Sr. Audit Advisor Location

  • Fully remote within the United States

Sr. Audit Advisor Compensation

  • $65,000-$80,000 with 10% bonus

Sr. Audit Advisor Responsibilities

  • Participation in the planning of the audit engagement
  • Organizing and performing a client Process Walkthrough, in conjunction with a Data Acquisition Specialist
  • Reviewing initial data to ensure quality to expected levels to perform the audit
  • Organization of all requirements necessary to undertake the audit (ex. Opening meetings, mailing authorizations etc.)
  • Provision of weekly revenue forecasts with supporting risk & opportunity areas identified
  • Meeting clients and client sponsor on a regular agreed feedback program
  • Provision of regular and accurate reporting as required
  • The establishment, management, and delivery of client expectations
  • Identification of potential scope expansions
  • Review of reports to identify recovery opportunities
  • Where applicable manage other associates engaged in the audit
  • Assists in the development & training of less skilled/experienced team members
  • Communication with vendors and client personnel to ensure speedy and accurate resolution of claims
  • Working and building relationships with Data Acquisition Specialists to discover and evolve other claim areas
  • Constantly improving knowledge and increasing skills of propriety application and auditing concepts
  • Ensuring that invoices for services provided are paid in agreed terms

Sr. Audit Advisor Qualifications

  • Five years or more experience in accounting, Accounts Payable, recovery auditing
  • Two years of managing a recovery audit
  • Strong analytical ability combined with the skills to apply results of the analysis
  • Self-starter with the capability to analyze a vendor’s systems, business rules and data without detailed instructions.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Significant knowledge of general accounting/auditing principles and practices
  • Significant knowledge of client ERP or payables systems
  • Significant knowledge/overview of P2P systems in non-retail environments
  • Significant knowledge of the Recovery Audit – techniques, industry, and major competitors
