IT Network Project Manager

Location: Remote
Assignment type: 12 Month, Contract to Hire (W2 Only)

Our client’s Technology Portfolio Management department is seeking an individual to support the numerous Network related projects in flight and on deck. As an IT Network Project Manager, you will focus on value delivery and provide IT service management training in various forms. You will be part of a large matrixed project team, will participate in following formal project management principles to deliver toward larger goals, and will be a champion for quality practices across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project and operational work related to any of the portfolio of Network infrastructure related projects
  • Project Management of Integration & divesture efforts as they arise
  • Maintain and execute project plans
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Utilize risk management strategies to actively manage project risks that may impact timeline, scope, and quality
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed by the program
  • Lead process areas in the absence of direct Management support
  • Mentor project resources
  • Ability to explain ideas/concepts to those who don’t understand; provide training

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 or more years of project management experience
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience providing support of Network related projects
  • IT Infrastructure Management Knowledge Networking, Server Management, End User Computing, Voice & VoIP, etc.
  • Trained in IT Service Management (ITIL)
  • ITIL Foundations Certified (preferred)
  • PMP Certification(preferred)
  • Proven experience instructing groups of people
  • Proven track record of working projects to completion
  • Experience leading or participating in IT improvement implementation projects
  • Experience with defining, gathering, analyzing, and reporting data in an IT organization
  • Ability to be self-directed, manage work that might not be distinctly defined, ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated business writing ability (sample may be requested)
