Agile Program Manager
Duration: 6 Month, Contract to Hire
Location: Blue Ash, OH or 100% remote
JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking for a capable Senior-Level Program Manager for a leadership role within the Agile environment. Candidates must have demonstrable program management experience in the successful delivery of programs, in a predominantly Agile environment, and in using iterative waterfall methodologies in their organization, leadership, and communication. The Program Manger will have to drive both a business and a technology project. Candidates must also have experience in delivering rollouts of hardware deployments to sites across the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing program and project risks, developing mitigation plans, and escalating decisions and unresolved issues as needed
- Establishing and updating project and program plans, forecasting, and managing deviations from plan and program parameters
- Ensuring all program and project requirements are properly documented
- Coaching Project Managers within the program
- Providing leadership for project managers and stakeholders and applying conflict resolution skills to resolve program and project issues
- Creating and tracking schedules, budget, risks, and issues
- Working with peers to develop and drive goals, define technical specifications and detailed implementation plans for projects and programs
- Providing coordination of complex planning activities and optimize the use of resources
- Managing issues as they arise among the program’s component projects
- Tracking contributions to the program and towards the organizations’ overall benefits
- Maintaining continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in leadership position delivering large and complex projects and programs
- PMP certification
- Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budget
- Ability to anticipate and manage project and program risks
- Dynamic presenter and facilitator skills
- Experience in presenting to senior management
- Possess strong engagement management skills, strong business acumen, deep technical insights, and the ability to speak in both business and technical terms
- Experience with managing external customers and understanding of deployment lifecycles
- Expertise in applying the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing IT solutions
- Proven problem solving and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation
