PLANT CONTROLLER
Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller with one of our favorite global Manufacturing clients in Statesville, NC! The Plant Controller will act as a key as a business partner with the plant leadership team and report to the VP, Finance to effectively manage the manufacturing business. The Plant Controller, in partnership with the Plant Manager, is responsible for the facility P&L as well as managing inventory, cost accounting, operational KPI’s, business analysis, financial reporting, and managing financials and operational internal controls. The person in this position will also work closely with the other members of the division and corporate finance team on continuous improvement initiatives. Location: STATESVILLE, NC (with 25% monthly travel to Charlotte, NC ) – 100% onsite
Compensation: $105,000 -115,000 + 15% bonus

Essential Functions
- Prepare monthly reports of P&L results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning.
- Responsible for internal controls at the plant for operations and finance.
- Analyze and accurately report out current month’s financial results to the plant and management
- Submit all financial transactions, transmissions, and reporting on a timely and accurate basis.
- Perform MRO expense review, approval and tracking to ensure expense is in line with forecast/plan.
- Review labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels.
- Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results and investigate and explain book to physical adjustments.
- Attend daily/weekly plant production meetings and provide progress report on MTD performance to forecast/plan.
- Perform daily walkthroughs of the plant with the Plant Manager to discuss production and costing issues.
- Participate in weekly one-on-one with Plant Manager and other facility leaders to discuss all plant issues and determine all actions to be taken.
- Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items quarterly.
- Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded and results are accurately reported.
- Assist in the completion of special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis, and forecasting
- 2+ years of recent cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- CMA Certification preferred
- Able to work in Statesville 75% of the time and visit Charlotte 25% of the time
