Duration: 6 Month, Contract
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45202 (All consultants must be able to work onsite)
 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our large, Retail client, with over $150B in annual revenue, and  operating, either directly or through its subsidiaries, 2,750 locations and maintains markets in 35 states. Our client is looking for a Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing and developing Power BI reports, establishing connectivity to databases for reporting, writing efficient SQL queries from a database, and tuning the performance of the reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with Business Analysts and customers to understand the requirements for reports
  • Designing, developing, and testing Power BI report solutions that satisfy requirements
  • Connecting to a SQL Server data warehouse, Dynamics 365, and/or Salesforce with Power BI
  • Writing SQL queries and procedures in T-SQL to provide data for reports
  • Setting up data sets for Power BI reports
  • Tuning the queries, datasets, and reports for maximum performance
  • Publishing reports to Power BI Premium
  • Participating in training end users
  • Providing support for Power BI reports

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in developing Power BI reports
  • Understanding of tuning of Power BI reports, data sets, and SQL to deliver maximum report performance.
  • Knowledge of methods in which to best present data for management decision-making
  • Must be able to build and maintain a positive relationship with vendors and internal suppliers and customers
