Business Analyst - Supply Chain

6 Months Contract to Hire

High Point, NC or Portland, OR or Ontario/Rialto, CA
 

Day to Day responsibilities:

• Write specifications for new developments and system enhancements
• Support project manager for system implementations and upgrades, and provide ongoing support
• Analyze client requirements, determine fit and customizations, develop proposals and supporting data for cost estimates, and present capabilities and solutions to client prospects
• Support implementations by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users and providing post-implementation support
• Develop detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements and user documentation
• Perform process and data modeling
• Conduct integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before they are released to key users

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of experience with systems development and implementation
• Implementation and support experience with web-based applications (EXceed. 4000) order management applications (LPS 2000, ConnectShip ChainLink., i2s transportation suite or Logility Voyager, etc.)
• Experience with formal project management practices
• Solid experience in at least one of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation or distribution
• Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies
• Understanding of current information systems technologies such as client/server, relational databases, web-based systems and object-oriented designs
