A land acquisition and development company based in the Triad area is looking to add a Real Estate Paralegal to their GROWING team. This is the fastest growing company in their industry in the South East region!

Compensation: $70,000 + Based on Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare contracts, including lease or rental agreements and closing documents
  • Research, draft, review, and file documents such as leases, subleases, purchase assignments, mortgage notes, title affidavits, and property descriptions.
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Monitoring financial transactions
  • Review requests and orders for the certificates of title, title insurance, real property reports and more
  • Answer client questions about real estate codes, write closing checklists for real estate sale
  • Prepare due diligence checklists
  • Preparing checklists for information and documents needed at closing and prepare statements and other closing documents for real estate closings.
  • Communicate with title companies for closings.
  • Work with lawyers and real estate agents throughout the sale and closing process of a property.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of real estate and related experience, including a background in real estate transactions, leasing, and development.
  • Knowledge of legal principles and practices at a level normally acquired through formal paralegal training or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in legal terminology, legal and factual research, word processing, calendaring/docketing and electronic mail software
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including communicating in person, by e-mail and by telephone
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, subordinates, and outside vendors
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
