CRG is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer for a client in the Winston Salem, NC area with experience in maintaining and configuring their existing systems as well as the implementation and integration of new systems for this growing organization.
 

The Engineer is responsible for the network operations for customers in a variety of environments. The ideal candidate is very detail oriented, comfortable with new and dynamic environments, comfortable with "multi-tasking” – working on multiple projects, has excellent customer service and interaction skills, and is a self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision. The Engineer is expected to work well in a team environment and be persistent with follow-up on issues.

 

Responsibilities:

• Proven hands-on experience in a large-scale network environment
• 5+years of networking and / or Infrastructure experience
• Experience with Installation, Configuration, and high-level Administration of the following:
  • Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
  • Networking hardware Switches/Routers/Firewalls
  • VMWare / VCenter / Horizons View
  • Hyper-V
  • Microsoft Exchange and Lync
  • Office365 support/migrations
  • RDS
  • Multiple Backup Solutions
• Experience administering, migrating, managing and implementation of Virtual environments
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate findings both written and orally to a variety of positions within an organization
• Perform system and equipment upgrades as needed.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from start to completion
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Ability to work closely with co-workers to resolve and document networking issues/problems
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to plan a project, and execute according to plan
• Occasional travel to client sites
• Required to be in the on-call rotation.

• Maintenance and support of network to ensure overall availability of company's data networks
• Perform capacity planning activities based on trending tools and monitoring systems.
• Support networking needs of IT and practice environments.
• Create and maintain documentation for network design, support and maintenance procedures.
• Interface with team members on an ongoing basis.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Provide on-call services after normal business hours when required.
• Must be able to interact via telephone and web-based / virtual audio and video technologies.

 

Minimum Education or Relevant Experience:

• 5+years of networking and / or Infrastructure experience
• MCSE / MCSA Highly Preferred
• CCNP/CCIE Highly Preferred
• Microsoft and VMware certifications preferred
