The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for the support of moderate to complex support and operating systems with general supervision. Areas of management and support include core operating systems such as Macintosh and Windows, software distribution, and anti-virus solutions. The Support Analyst will serve as level three desktop support for complex end user device management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 support to Client Technology Support team
  • Support and Maintain corporate endpoint standards and solution
  • Create and Maintain Windows deployment infrastructure
  • Design, delivery, and operation of distributed services to agreed service levels
  • Develop technical supporting documentation for IT equipment and systems
  • Training and formal turnover of processes and information to the Client Technology Support team.
  • Work closely with the Server and Networking teams.
  • Continually stay up to date with Microsoft desktop operating system technology and trends
  • Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment
  • Ability to work with third party companies to integrate systems/applications and hardware for new products or upgrades
  • Perform or assist in miscellaneous department admin, support functions or projects as needed; i.e. new branch openings, upgrades, extended hours coverage, etc.
  • Warehouse technologies (RF scanners, conveyor systems, bar code/label printing, truck mounts etc.)

 

Skills and Requirements

Strong working knowledge of client technologies, such as:

  • ITIL
  • Desktop and laptop hardware (Apple, HP, IBM)
  • Windows OS, MacOS
  • Communication technologies, such as LAN/Wireless LAN
  • Mobile Devices (iPhone, Android)
  • Registry and Permissions
  • Drivers
  • Active Directory
  • MS Office
  • Print technologies

Working knowledge of the following client technologies:

  • Client Management Software
  • Adobe Graphics applications such as Illustrator and Photoshop
  • MacOS application troubleshooting
  • Client Endpoint Protection software
  • MS Exchange
  • Cisco VoIP
  • Wireless devices
  • Windows group policies

 

Qualifications

  • Require a minimum two-year technical degree at an accredited technical school/college
  • Prefer 3-5 years of on the job relative experience
  • Availability to work on weekends and travel to other field locations as required
