Cybersecurity Auditor
Location: Charlotte, NC
Assignment Type: 3 month contract-to-hire
FTE Salary Range: $75K - $85K
Travel time: 25% - 30% ; roughly once a month

SUMMARY:
The Jr. Cybersecurity Auditor will be responsible for a combination of Cybersecurity auditing and compliance validation for both external vendors as well as external audits (SOC I & II, HIPPA, and PCI). They will work with internal departments, security vendors, and 3rd party vendors to remediate any findings to ensure ongoing compliance. In addition, they will manage, administer, and maintain security policies, standards and procedures and institute appropriate governance for security functions. The role will be tasked with executing technology and information security audits throughout the enterprise and raising awareness of the risks identified to Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct onsite 3rd party vendor cybersecurity audits and reviews of applications and information technology processes to evaluate information systems controls and security compliance with company standards.
- Review information systems policies, standards and procedures to verify that they address the organization's internal and external requirements.
- Perform information control reviews to include system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery and system maintenance.
- Maintain sufficient, adequate evidence to support conclusions on the existence and operating effectiveness of information systems controls.
- Communicate audit and review results to appropriate parties; ensure that issues are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
- Assist in coordinating data requests from external auditors and ensure internal personnel provide the data in the requested timeline.
- Perform daily, weekly and quarterly audits, including user accounts, application access, & badge access, as needed.
- Be willing to travel 20-30% for on-site audits and to perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of Information Technology/Cybersecurity audit experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, qualitative field or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a technology related environment, specifically within IT Audit, Information Security, and Cybersecurity
- Experience in any of the following disciplines (information security, security architecture, vulnerability management, data privacy)
- Moderate knowledge of IT systems security and IT infrastructure
- Understanding of auditing procedures and necessary independence to conduct reviews
- Solid knowledge and experience with customer facing technology solutions
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- The ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group

- Industry Certifications: (CISA) Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISM) Certified Information Security Manager preferred
