Our client, in Mooresville, is in need of a Night Shift Help Desk Specialist for a 1+ year contract (possible right to hire). The pay rate for this opportunity is $18+/hr. We offer discounted health/dental and 401k benefits after 90 days.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must have 2-4 years IT help desk experience. AAS Degree or A+, Net + or other IT certifications
- Experience with Cabling – Cat5, or 6, fiber optic, etc.
Job Details:
- This is a Night support position – starting at 2am-10 am or 4am-to 12 noon – or similar late-night, early morning hours
- Candidates will be assigned a 8 hour shift most likely be Sun-Thursday or Mon-Friday
- Candidates must work on site, have excellent customer service skills, be reliable and dependable.
- All candidates must have clean background and pass criminal background check
Job Duties:
- Provide routine technical phone support for hardware and software issues.
- Windows operating systems, PC Connectivity issues, Cisco routers and switches – configuration and troubleshooting – executing command prompts
- Linux/Unix and server support. (Command line)
- Shell and SQL scripting – executing scripts, error monitoring, configuration and support.
