IT Compliance Project Manager
Location: Hybrid, Charlotte, NC
Contract to Hire
$65+/hour W2 (Sponsorship / C2C is not available)

We are seeking an experienced IT Compliance Project Manager to lead an enterprise job monitoring initiative supporting future regulatory and compliance requirements. This role will plan, coordinate, and drive the implementation of standardized job monitoring across critical business applications and technology platforms. The Project Manager will work closely with Technology, Finance, Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Infrastructure, Application Support, and external partners to establish a scalable monitoring framework that improves control execution, evidence retention, alerting, issue remediation, audit readiness, and operational resilience. This role will manage the initiative from requirements and planning through pilot implementation and enterprise rollout.

Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
  • Lead the enterprise job monitoring initiative, including project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across applications, infrastructure, observability, compliance, audit, and business functions.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings, status reviews, and key project communications.
Compliance & Governance
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit to define monitoring requirements, controls, and evidence expectations.
  • Ensure monitoring processes support auditability, documentation, evidence retention, and timely issue remediation.
  • Maintain appropriate governance, documentation, and decision-making processes throughout the program.
Solution Implementation
  • Lead requirements gathering, business process assessments, and application onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate proof-of-concept and pilot implementations using monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace and similar tools.
  • Develop implementation roadmaps for expanding monitoring capabilities across the enterprise.
Stakeholder & Risk Management
  • Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, Finance, Compliance, Audit, and external vendors.
  • Drive alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and operational impacts.
  • Develop mitigation and escalation plans and communicate project status to senior leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of project or program management experience.
  • Experience leading complex enterprise technology initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with compliance, governance, risk, audit, or regulatory initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from planning through implementation.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Understanding of enterprise applications, batch processing, systems integration, and IT operations.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, or operational support processes.
  • Knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs), audit requirements, and evidence management.
  • Experience with PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, and project financials.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance, risk management, or audit programs.
  • Experience with monitoring or observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Datadog.
  • Background in enterprise technology, financial systems, ERP platforms, or infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with automated controls, job scheduling, alerting, or operational monitoring.
  • Experience with Smartsheet and/or Power BI.
