Jr Business Intelligence Developer

Assignment Type: 12-month contract
Location: Remote w/ quarterly travel to Charlotte, NC
Rate: $40/hour W2 (No Sponsorship or C2C available)


Job Summary:
The Jr Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and data integration solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, analysts, data engineers, and technical teams to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions using SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Data Integrator (DI), Sigma Computing, and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate combines expertise in reporting development, data integration, and analytics. This position will support existing SAP BusinessObjects solutions while contributing to the organization's reporting modernization efforts through Sigma Computing. The role will develop and maintain trusted reporting assets, support established governance standards, and help enable self-service analytics capabilities across the business.
This position is remote with required quarterly travel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SAP BusinessObjects WebI reports, Sigma dashboards/workbooks, and self-service analytics supporting operational, financial, and management reporting.
• Translate business requirements into reporting solutions; optimize performance, usability, reliability, and support migration from BusinessObjects to Sigma.

• Design and maintain SAP BusinessObjects Universes (Universe Designer/IDT), Sigma datasets, and reporting data models.
• Validate joins, calculations, metrics, business logic, and data definitions while supporting governance, standards, and impact analysis.

• Develop and support ETL/data integration processes using SAP Data Integrator (DI) for reporting and analytics environments.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and support cloud data warehouse environments, including Amazon Redshift, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.

• Provide production support for BusinessObjects, Data Integrator, and Sigma, troubleshooting report, dashboard, data, and performance issues.
• Support testing, deployments, release management, certified reporting assets, and automation/continuous improvement initiatives.

• Partner with business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and data engineers to define reporting requirements and deliver analytics solutions.
• Support project planning, prioritization, modernization initiatives, and team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing enterprise reporting, business intelligence, or analytics solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including:
  • Web Intelligence (WebI)
  • Universe Designer and/or Information Design Tool (IDT)
• Experience developing and supporting ETL processes using SAP Data Integrator (DI).
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, or analytical solutions using Sigma Computing or a comparable cloud analytics platform.
• Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with Amazon Redshift or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer support skills.
