About the Job: CRG is seeking a Financial Data Analyst – Strategic Analytics to join the corporate finance organization of a large, nationally recognized company. This position will focus on financial data analysis, contract compliance, reporting, process improvement, and data-driven decision support. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and accounting skills with the ability to identify trends, improve processes, and communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional business partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze contractual and financial data, identifying trends and developing reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Analyze monthly financial information related to insurance premiums and fringe benefit expenses and identify opportunities for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and automation solutions to strengthen controls and improve the consistency and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Lead efforts to centralize data collection and improve data accuracy while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Legal, Field Operations, and Finance to maintain data integrity and support compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and implement procedures and controls designed to ensure compliance with client contracts and established financial policies.
  • Conduct independent analysis, evaluate findings, develop recommendations, and effectively communicate and defend conclusions to stakeholders.
  • Analyze underlying data drivers to provide meaningful follow-up analysis and support to sector finance teams and key customers.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries at both operational and corporate levels, helping ensure the accuracy of P&L and balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with client and contractual insurance and benefits reconciliations.
  • Handle confidential HR, benefits, and financial information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Support special projects and analytical initiatives as assigned by management and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Benefits & Compensation, Risk Management, Legal, Labor Relations, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Payroll, and sector financial leadership.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with corporate and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively without direct authority.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Experience working with SAP or other enterprise financial systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to independently assess information and develop sound recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Hyperion/Essbase, Microsoft Access, Power BI, BlackLine, and/or SQL.
  • Experience with financial data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
  • Experience with process automation or data centralization initiatives.
  • Experience working with contractual compliance, reconciliations, or financial controls.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Internal Audit, Operations, or other non-finance stakeholders.
  • Background in a large, complex corporate environment.
