Winston Salem , North Carolina Direct Hire Aug 24, 2026
Procurement Systems Administrator
Summary:
Our client is a growing organization investing in its procurement technology and is seeking a Procurement Systems Administrator to take ownership of its Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems, with a primary focus on Coupa.
This is a newly created role and an opportunity to build out the company's procurement systems function. You'll work closely with Procurement, Accounting, vendors, and field operations to optimize system functionality, manage Coupa releases, onboard suppliers, improve processes, and train users across the organization.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being the hands-on subject matter expert—someone who can work in the backend of Coupa, troubleshoot integrations, manage system rollouts, and then turn around and confidently train a group of users on what's changing and why.
Location: Winston-Salem, NC | On-site Travel: Approximately 10% regional travel, including occasional overnight travel Compensation: $75,000–$85,000
Responsibilities:
Own day-to-day Coupa P2P administration, including backend configuration, workflows, user access, and system functionality
Manage Coupa releases and rollouts, including sandbox testing, impact assessment, coordination, and implementation
Configure and onboard new vendors and suppliers within the procurement system
Manage punchout catalogs and electronic invoicing processes
Troubleshoot backend integrations and system-to-ERP issues, partnering with internal teams and software vendors as needed
Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend improvements to P2P processes and system functionality
Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation as the procurement technology environment continues to mature
Create training materials and deliver virtual and in-person training to employees, managers, vendors, and field teams
Support reporting and KPI development using tools such as Tableau
Support additional procurement and operational platforms, including NetSuite, Aspire, Expensify, and Dayforce
Help evaluate and implement additional procurement technology as the organization's needs evolve
Qualifications:
Hands-on Coupa P2P administration experience
Experience working with the Coupa Sandbox and testing system releases before production rollout
Experience managing or supporting Coupa releases/rollouts
Experience with vendor/supplier onboarding within a procurement system
Experience troubleshooting or supporting backend integrations between Coupa and an ERP or other business system
Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes and system functionality
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train both technical and non-technical users
Ability to work fully onsite in Winston-Salem, NC
Ability to travel approximately 10% regionally, including occasional overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Coupa Administrative Certification
Experience with NetSuite
Experience with Aspire, Tableau, Expensify, or Dayforce
Experience developing SOPs, training materials, and system documentation
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field
Why This Role?:
This is an opportunity to join a growing organization at a point where its procurement technology function is still being built.
You'll have meaningful ownership of Coupa and the broader P2P technology environment, rather than simply maintaining an established system. As the function develops, there will be opportunities to expand your scope into additional procurement platforms, system implementations, and technology initiatives.
You'll also have significant visibility across the organization, partnering with Procurement, Accounting, vendors, and field leadership to improve how the business uses its procurement technology.
