Indirect Procurement Manager
We are seeing a Senior Level Buyer/Procurement Contract Specialist to support procurement initiatives with a strong focus on contract strategy, vendor negotiations, and M & A readiness. This role will partner with Procurement leadership and business stakeholders to assess existing agreements, identify contractual and financial risks, and develop strategies to support future corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and divestitures. This is a strategic procurement role and is not responsible for transactional procurement activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, or invoicing.
Location: REMOTE, EST or CST timezone
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Opportunity Type: 6-month contract with possible extensions
Pay/Compensation: $60.00-$70.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and negotiate complex indirect contracts
- Evaluate agreements, vendor commitments, compliance risks, and financial obligations.
- Assess existing contracts utilization across business units.
- Develop recommendations for contract allocation, separation, and optimization to support future M & A and restructuring initiatives.
- Partner with IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to align procurement strategy with business objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations to improve commercial terms and reduce risk.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, analyses, and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- 7-10+ years of procurement experience with a strong emphasis on Indirect.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or organizational restructuring initiatives preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated financial, analytical, and risk assessment capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
