Summary

Our client is a leading manufacturer, committed to delivering high-quality products through innovation and operational excellence. We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting function with a strong focus on cost accounting and related processes. This role will lead a team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements to support business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and general ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions for the legal entity.
• Coach and develop the accounting staff to build a high-performing team.
• Oversee vendor payments, customer invoicing, banking, and payroll processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Lead month-end close activities and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
• Maintain accurate cost accounting, including BOM integrity and cost roll-ups.
• Analyze purchase price variances and material costing; reconcile inventory accounts.
• Support audits, budget vs. actual reporting, and cost control initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and assist with system implementations.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends or overtime as needed.
