Senior Accounting Manager
We are recruiting a Senior Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for leading the accounting function, with a primary focus on cost accounting and the processes that support it.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and general ledger.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely posting of all financial transactions for the legal entity.
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a strong, high-performing team.
- Oversee weekly vendor payments, customer invoicing, banking activities, and payroll processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Participate in month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of financial statements.
- Drive accurate standard versus actual cost accounting, including bill of materials (BOM) and cost roll-ups.
- Analyze purchase price variances and maintain accurate material costing.
- Partner with operations to validate BOM integrity and assess its impact on standard costing.
- Reconcile raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory accounts.
- Support annual external audits and quarterly financial reviews.
- Manage budget versus actual expense reporting and enforce cost control measures.
- Lead initiatives to improve accounting workflows, operational processes, and system implementations.
- Provide expert guidance on special projects and collaborate with internal and external audit teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional business experience, including cost accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in furniture manufacturing.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of audit and accounting principles.
- Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent presentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
- High level of ethics, integrity, judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and strict deadlines.
