Product Owner

Duration: 6-month contract with high likelihood of extension

Location: Remote

Compensation: $50-55/hour W2

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals, gather requirements, and translate them into clear technical product capabilities.
• Own and manage the product backlog; prioritize features, technical improvements, and bugs based on value, risk, and effort.
• Work closely with engineering teams to refine stories, clarify requirements, and ensure successful and timely delivery.
• Ensure alignment with architecture and development, testing, infrastructure support, security, and compliance standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives to support Agile delivery processes.
• Support efforts around adoption of new features by communicating value to stakeholders and supporting change management activities in agile delivery process.
• Monitor product performance and user feedback to inform continuous improvement and iteration.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with development teams on data platforms, APIs, Microservices or other composable architecture, infrastructure, or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts, technical architecture, or cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Nice to have: Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, or similar.
