The Leave Management Manager oversees the implementation, administration, and evaluation of core leave management policies and processes for union and non-union employees. This role ensures effective communication and collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders, with a focus on the complexities of leave management processes.
Opportunity Type: Direct-Hire
Compensation: $105,000-$115,000 + 15% Bonus
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (one day remote/week)

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the leave management team, setting goals and guiding project execution to meet operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with LOA policies and return-to-work procedures among team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Oversee and audit Third-Party Administrator (TPA) processes, including FMLA, ADA, state leave compliance, and payroll coordination.
- Serve as primary liaison between TPA and HR to resolve complex leave and payroll issues; provide training and process guidance.
- Utilize TPA systems to investigate and address inquiries, delivering clear communication and support to HR and People Leaders.
- Coordinate reporting, document management, and stakeholder communications related to leave and ADA processes.
- Conduct training for HR on TPA portal use and leave/ADA procedures, ensuring consistent application of policies.
- Perform audits and investigations to ensure compliance with federal/state laws (e.g., EEO, AA, OFCCP), and contribute to policy improvements.
Requirements
- People management experience; including goal setting, regular feedback, and performance evaluations, to drive employee engagement and productivity.
- Minimum of 7 years of work-related experience in HR, Benefits, Payroll and Leave Administration experience, including an understanding payroll of STD/paid leave claims processing preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding ADA, FMLA, Military, and company leave policies for Parental, Personal, Administrative and WC leaves required and may also include union contract requirements.
- Full understanding of LTD and STD plan designs and pay structure preferred.
- Payroll experience preferred, specifically in SAP and Dimensions timekeeping system.
