Our Florida-based client, a publicly traded designer, manufacturer, and distributor of interior and exterior doors for residential and commercial builders, has been going strong for almost 100 years. As the Plant Manager, you will oversee the activities of the manufacturing operations through a team of supervisors and group leaders. 

Opportunity: 6-month contract
Location: Prineville, Oregon
Compensation: $70-80/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:30am-4pm
Responsibilities:
  • Drives all company safety policies, practices and procedures to ensure 100% compliance
  • Deploys Lean Manufacturing techniques in the area of Safety, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures
  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development and problem resolution 
  • Monitors operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed
  • Drives improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures leading to productivity and efficiency gains 
  • Oversees production supervision staff for all shifts
  • Develops production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations
  • Establishes and directs plant policies and procedures
  • Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards
  • Full P&L responsibility; works closely with finance and sales & marketing to partner towards sales objectives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations Management
  • 8 years of operations management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
