SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect
Location: Remote (Preferably on-site in Charlotte, NC)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
FTE Salary Range: $160K base, 10% bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking a SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect to join a forward-thinking team at a leading global food service provider. This position offers flexibility, including the potential for remote work for the right candidate, with a preference for candidates located near Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in S/4 HANA and a proven track record of successful S/4 HANA implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design and Architecture: Collaborate with Solution Management teams (Business representatives, System Architects, Program Leaders, Product Managers) to design and architect solutions aligned with the company’s roadmap.
- Fit/Gap Analysis: Evaluate existing solutions against future business needs to define Fit/Gap analysis, offering tailored solutions to bridge identified gaps.
- Documentation and Presentations: Prepare and present key design decision documents, solution options, and position papers to address complex business requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Produce high-quality technical, operational, and process flow documentation. Proactively identify potential issues and implement corrective measures or improvements.
- SAP Collaboration: Work closely with SAP to address whitespace requirements and ensure seamless integration of SAP modules with other business systems.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with stakeholders, providing strategic direction on SAP S/4 HANA solutions and translating business requirements into actionable system designs.
- Process Leadership: Lead and manage solution teams through end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with business goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ECC implementations. Multiple S/4 HANA implementation projects required, with emphasis on S/4 HANA experience.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP architecture and strong experience in configuring and setting up Proof of Concepts for complex requirements.
- SAP Modules Expertise: Extensive experience in the following areas:
- Sales & Distribution: Condition Contracts, Pricing, AATP, Third-Party Sales, Sales Contracts, Custom Developments
- Procurement: Condition Contracts, Pricing, Third-Party Sales, Procurement & Goods Receipt, Item Master, Business Partner
- Finance: MM-FI Integration, SD-FI Integration, COPA, Accounting (C2C and P2P), Revenue Recognition
- Project Systems: Cost Element Usage, Billing, Revenue Recognition
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with IS-Retail modules (POSDM/DTA) and complex billing scenarios is highly desirable.
- Integration Expertise: Hands-on experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with third-party systems (inbound and outbound), as well as an understanding of common integration methods and principles.
- Master Data: Strong understanding of master data management and enterprise setup structures within SAP.
- Solution Design & Methodology: Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology or other Agile approaches. Ability to design and deliver end-to-end solutions across diverse business processes.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams, offering clear guidance on solution design and implementation.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with Conference Room Pilots (CRPs): Leading and facilitating CRPs to validate solution designs.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with S/4HANA Greenfield implementations.
- Deep knowledge of SAP table structures and their relationship to business processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
