The Performance Engineer works as a member of the Performance Engineer team and is charged to understand the goals/objectives of the team and supports Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology division. This Performance Engineer is responsible for Administrating and running load tests for Enterprise level Tier0 and Tier1 applications and working with AppDev team to support ongoing Releases and help with load testing for major upgrades. RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project cycles and Performance management objectives.
Based on the Application flow, develop load testing scenarios and create scripts.
Analyze Application infrastructure during load testing.
Coordinate tests with App and Middleware teams.
Strong skill set using Load Runner, JMeter testing tools.
Ability to perform load, stress and endurance tests.
Experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Zabbix and Cloud watch metrics.
Perform deep dive analysis after the load test and make sure to pinpoint all the issues and coordinate with Application and Middleware teams.
Experience in Mobile testing would be great addition.
Complete Service Requests within defined SLAs
Set expectations with the customers and communicate progress or blockers
Actively participate in cross team collaborations and triage sessions
Collaborate with IT teams, project teams, and institutional leadership teams in root problem analysis, solution identification, implementation, and delivery activities
Collaborate with IT teams and internal and external customers to understand project requirements and recommend sustainable solutions that meet defined business needs
Communicate clearly to technical and non-technical users
Plan and execute activities assigned by the team/manager
Update tickets on a regular basis and keep leadership informed of work status/progress
Independently manage assigned tasks and project components to complete within established timelines
Identify and communicate potential business impacts when planning changes to production systems
Participate with management and technical teams to establish appropriate project timelines to deliver sustainable solutions within approved time and budget parameters.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or combination of education and experience
At least 8 years of experience as Performance Engineer
Mobile testing.
Expertise in load runner, Jenkins tools
Experience with AWS
Experience with load runner Scripting
Experience in PowerShell
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
