Customer Service Representative | Payroll
Summary: CRG is partnered with a global, employee-focused organization in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team! The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting employees with payroll-related issues / questions via inbound and outbound calls. This individual will work in a team setting to complete tasks and communicate with managers to resolve issues. This position requires candidates to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have effective communication skills.
Opportunity: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Charlotte, NC (HYBRID – 2 days/week remote)
Pay: $17.00-$18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls according to established procedures and performance standards.
  • Create work orders and capture structured data for each issue to provide audit trails and statistical analysis.
  • Understand and follow documented departmental processes and established payroll guidelines.
  • Address questions and issues presented by the field managers and escalate information to others as needed.
  • Utilize internal systems and applications to adequately support the workload.
  • Process and respond to emails according to standard procedures.
  • Process off-cycle checks according to standard procedures.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of call center customer service experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Payroll processing knowledge preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
