This company is looking for a Data Journalist who can create compelling and through leadership content, including, but not limited to, white papers, blogs, bylined articles which engages the company’s audiences and will influence the decision-making processes of current and prospective consumer packaged goods clients. A successful candidate will be able to dive deep and make sense of the company’s robust data set and knowledge library, which includes shopper insights for nearly half of U.S. households. Candidates will uncover industry and category trends and weave information together to create a compelling narrative, tapping into creativity to engage and inform our audiences using information graphics, data visualizations, animations, motion graphics and multimedia storytelling across the web and social media. This candidate will be a part of the company’s marketing efforts, as the company is heightening awareness for itself and its’ leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiating and creating data-driven thought leadership and marketing content, with a publisher’s mindset that result in increased awareness, credibility, and engagement
  • Brainstorming, planning, developing, and writing engaging white papers, articles, social posts, videos, and blogs based on the latest data, and framed within the context of current events, trends and topics that are of interest to diverse audiences
  • Performing analysis for data and research insights, internal interviews
  • Obtaining a deep understanding of solutions, capabilities, and the value they create for clients
  • Building relationships and networks across the business to learn, analyze, understand data and insights and be able to then develop impactful content
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams, Business Leaders, Product Marketing Owners, data scientists, other senior leaders, and PR agencies to develop thought leadership content strategy and manage content pipeline

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ experience in content development as technical writer and editor, journalist type role in data-centric environment
  • Proven ability to analyze data, edit and write clearly, visualization of data
  • Experience working in various content formats – white papers, video, infographics, blogs, social media, etc.
  • Ideal candidate would be someone that has worked as a writer in an agency, as a journalist or a researcher
  • Relationship builder and self-starter & ability to thrive in a fast-paced changing environment
