Director of Organizational Development Summary

Established in the mid 1900’s, our client is a fast-growing profitable provider in the aerospace industry. The company is in ongoing organizational transformations and is looking for a Director of Organizational Development. The OD Director will lead several change processes, will develop, and implement several organizational processes and procedures, will focus on organizational culture implementation and re-focusing, and will deal extensively with leadership development across the entire group. The OD Director will function at the corporate level, will develop global processes, and in parallel will support the companies with their local needs.

Pay: $100k-$120k Salary
Location: Mooresville, NC 100% onsite

Director of Organizational Development Duties

  • Lead an implementation of a desired organizational culture
  • Leadership development across all companies and across all managerial layers, including developing and implementing managerial tools, routines, and best practices
  • Build and implement various organizational processes which support the desired organizational culture, including: talent management processes, performance management process, develop employees’ engagement sensing mechanisms, succession process, and more)
  • Choose and implement an LMS (learning management system)
  • Build effective tools for internal organizational communication infrastructure
  • Lead change management process including support leaders in their capabilities to lead change effectively
  • Support the companies’ HR directors to build the desired organizational culture in their companies and serve as effective change agents

 

Director of Organizational Development Requirements

  • MSc in Organizational Leadership and/or Development, Human Resources, MBA, or related field
  • Additional certification (e.g. CIPD, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR) is a plus
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in organizational development, preferably in manufacturing industry
  • Hands-on experience with HR tools such as Performance Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, HRIS, or other relevant HR designated software programs
  • Knowledgeable of employment and labor legislation/laws as they pertain to the organizational health of the company
  • Proven success in design, planning, and implementation of company organizational development programs, policies, and procedures
  • Excellence in promoting the health of the organization's Human Capital as a critical component, leveraging success of program implementation designated at strengthening talent and providing development opportunities throughout the company
  • Success in creating functional strategies for development of budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional organizational HR infrastructure
  • Experience working within a global multi-site, matrix organization
  • Willingness to travel
