Manager of Credit & Cash Application

Summary: Our client was founded in 1989 and is led by a leading Private Equity fund group. They are a growth-oriented, South Charlotte area company with revenues exceeding $750 million. The Manager of Credit and Cash Application is responsible for full oversight and leadership of the Master Data and Payment Application teams. They will be a hands-on leader while also guiding and supporting strategic planning and decision-making that will have significant impact to business operations across the entire organization.

Compensation: $80,000 + 15% BONUS!
Location: Charlotte, NC (South Park area)
Schedule: 8am-5pm (flexible) - 100% on-site

Responsibilities: 

• Full oversight of the Cash Application and Master Data teams with 4-5 direct reports, including day-to-day supervision and ongoing mentorship
• Determine credit lines for customers in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Determine creditworthiness of new customers, and review credit limit changes for existing customers
• Review daily hold report and hold emails and make decisions regarding release of orders
• Ensure integrity of customer and vendor master data
• Ensure contractual agreements with customers comply and AR accruals are documented accordingly
• Continuously drive process improvement for the team, creating efficiencies, cost-savings, etc.
• Collaborate and support other business functions within the organization such as Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Purchasing, etc.
• Provide guidance to business unit accounting teams on proper operational accounting processes & procedures
• Provide hands-on support to the area as needed to ensure confidential and high priority items are met
• Provide leadership, guidance, training, and development to ensure on-going accurate and compliant processes
• Audit, reconcile, and retain data and documentation required to ensure accuracy and meet compliance guidelines
• Act as back up for AR Manager

• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
• 5+ years of related experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and accounting systems
• 3+ years of leadership in AR, Credit Analysis, and Cash Application
• Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
• Proficiency in understanding business financials
• Experience with large ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 preferred)
• Strong ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external customers
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to manage projects and tasks in parallel
