Paralegal (Personal Injury Assistant) Summary
A CRG client in the Greensboro, High Point, NC area is looking for a Paralegal (Personal Injury Assistant).The Personal Injury Paralegal is responsible for handling intakes and ongoing cases for clients with personal injuries. This position will work with medical providers, attorneys, clients, and other law firms. This is a Direct-Hire position with a growing company with excellent benefits!
Paralegal (Personal Injury Assistant) Pay and Benefits
$30/hour

Paralegal (Personal Injury Assistant) Duties
Open and maintain client files
Maintain regular communication with each client
Gather documents, medical records and other supporting evidence
Review, index, organize and summarize documents electronically, including medical records and medical bills
Interview clients, witnesses and law enforcement officers
Prepare demand packages for attorney review
Prepare complaints, summonses, and other pleadings for state or federal court and any discovery
Locate expert witnesses to interview and possibly retain
Keep track of all pretrial and trial deadlines
Prepare pretrial and trial motions and responses, trial exhibits and trial notebooks
Determine health care and other liens that may apply to settlement proceeds including Medicare, ERISA, Va, etc.
Prepare and document settlement distribution to client and lien holders
Paralegal (Personal Injury Assistant) Requirements
10+ years of paralegal experience, either plaintiff or defense, with some of that experience handling litigation
Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.
Ability to file through PACER/ECF and NC Industrial Commission
Skilled in all Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
Experienced in working with a case management software
Experienced and skilled in using technology such as Microsoft Teams, DocuSign, e-fax, or similar products
Client-oriented with excellent customer service skills
Experience ordering and reviewing medical records
Working knowledge of mass tort litigation is a plus
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and document all actions taken thoroughly
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Excellent analytic and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Spanish speaking is a plus
