A CRG client in the Martinsville, VA area is looking for Accounting Manager to join their growing team.  The Accounting Manager is responsible for multiple accounting functions including accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, maintaining daily & monthly bank accounts & cash balances, reconciling General Ledger accounts; and ad hoc reporting. Seeking someone who is open to growth, looking to interview as early as next week! Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401K, and work/life balance!!

Accounting Manager Pay and Benefits:

  • $80k-90k

Accounting Manager Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Month and year-end process
  • Accounts payable
  • Cash receipts
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Treasury, budgeting
  • Cash management
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Capital assets reconciliations
  • Inventory support
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
  • Must have Manufacturing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Team player with strong leadership skills
