Opportunity: Contract to permanent hire! Compensation: $23/hour, converts to a higher base salary Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Friday's are remote!) Location: Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
Compile backup and create cover sheets for invoicing on 3rd party damages to company equipment
Calculate invoice totals as per amounts allowed under customer contracts company policies
Research equipment activity in company’s tracking system to verify location of equipment to ensure invoicing to responsible 3rd party
Utilize MS Excel and other software to create reports as needed for management
Review billing packages created by the field staff for accuracy
Assist M&R Billing Specialists in resolving customer issues/disputes
Communicate with the field staff regarding any issues for resolution
Evaluate vendor invoices and photos for damages versus wear and tear as per company policies and Association of American Railroads (AAR) rules
Understand the customer billing relationships to ensure invoicing to correct customers.
Qualifications
College degree highly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to identify problems and seek solutions
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a KPI-driven environment
2+ years of corporate billing experience within the transportation industry required if no degree is held.
