Cloud Engineer – Developer Experience
Location: Remote
Compensation: $50.00 Hourly
Duration: 12-month contract
Overview
Join our clients newly formed Cloud Engineering team as a Cloud Engineer – Developer Experience, where you’ll play a key role in driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption. This team is responsible for building and scaling a Continuous Infrastructure Automation platform that supports multi-cloud environments and enhances developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultative partner to application teams, enabling delivery of applications and services across multi-cloud environments
  • Design, implement, and operationalize cloud workloads, including monitoring, logging, backup/recovery, and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues for internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of a Developer Experience platform and self-service infrastructure automation tools
  • Support the creation of AI-driven developer tools and a centralized portal (“single pane of glass”) for managing development workflows
  • Collaborate across teams to drive standardization, automation, and best practices in cloud engineering
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or related field
  • Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure (5+ years preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages:
  • Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar git-based repository tools
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture (containers, serverless, microservices)
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (load balancers, WAFs, NSGs, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices
