Accounting Documentation Specialist
A CRG client in the Alpharetta, GA area is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Documentation Specialist for a contract opportunity. This role plays a key part in developing, maintaining, and enhancing process documentation across accounting, shared services, and operational functions. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting or finance, strong communication skills, and must be able to turn complex processes into clear, user-friendly documentation.

Opportunity: Contract (2 months)
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Compensation: $35-$45/hour
Schedule: HYBRID Monday – Friday (remote on Fridays)

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, update, and manage process documentation, manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting and shared services teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in accounting, finance, and operations to gather and validate process details.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with corporate standards, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain document repositories with proper version control and accessibility.
  • Support internal training sessions and workshops related to procedural rollouts or updates.
  • Periodically review and audit documentation to ensure ongoing accuracy, consistency, and relevance.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in documentation, process improvement, or technical writing.
  • Experience supporting teams in accounting, finance, or shared services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio or similar tools).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal audit processes, or financial control environments preferred.
