Staff Accountant
Location: Southwest Charlotte, NC (100% onsite) Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $28–$30 per hour Conversion Salary: $60,000–$65,000 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Summary: CRG is looking for a Staff Accountant for a real estate / construction company. This position supports various financial and administrative tasks with a focus on Excel-based pricing analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end close, including reviewing ACOS and SG&A reports, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and reclassifying expenses as needed
Help monitor and follow up on duplicate payments, review letters of credit and cash bonds, and support lot and land closing activities
Manage start lot entries in JDE and compile monthly reports detailing refundable and nonrefundable deposits
Provide administrative support for escrow processing by completing documentation, coordinating signatures with sellers, and working with escrow agents
Perform detailed pricing analysis and support reporting tasks by compiling and formatting data in Excel
Maintain accurate schedules for land and lot purchases, including quantity, pricing, and timing based on contractual details
Support the annual lot tax discount process by collecting data and organizing it into spreadsheets
Assist in preparing funding requests by reviewing closing statements and summarizing purchase activity
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar major required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of basic formulas
