Technical Program Manager II
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months, contract
Pay Rate: $65.00+
As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-visibility programs, including infrastructure and network-related projects. You’ll manage scope, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance, while mentoring project managers and engaging with executive stakeholders to drive outcomes.
Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional program delivery, ensuring alignment across budget, scope, and timeline.
• Build and maintain program governance structure; guide teams through process gates and approvals.
• Manage financials, risk mitigation, and resource planning across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution teams, and business stakeholders to ensure program success.
• Oversee change management, deployment planning, and post-go-live support (hypercare).
• Provide executive-level reporting and communication; escalate risks as needed.
• Coach and mentor project teams on process adherence and tool usage.
• Support audits and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in program and project management, preferably in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience setting up and managing program governance frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills; capable of interfacing with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Mainframe Infrastructure Projects
• Experience with Network Initiatives
• Strong background in financial tracking, risk and dependency management, and stakeholder reporting.
• Familiarity with tools such as Clarity, and processes like CAB/TAB and release management is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in retail or highly distributed enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies.
