Logistics Specialist 
Summary: Our client, a transformative transportation company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to provide comprehensive logistics support. In this role, you will be responsible for order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work closely with account managers, customers, and drivers to maintain effective communication and ensure timely deliveries.

Location: Laredo, Texas
Duration: 10 week contract 
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm
Compensation: $15-16/hr. 

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and update customer profile information in the Freight Optimizer system.
• Enter and manage loads from customer tenders into the system.
• Communicate updates to account managers regarding problem loads and actions taken.
• Keep receivers and customers informed on load status, ensuring transparency.
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure on-time arrivals and the condition of loads.
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring timely deliveries and validating load data for accurate accounting.
• Investigate any product overages, shortages, or damages, and complete the necessary documentation.
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads as required.
• Accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers.
• Provide clear and detailed driving directions and instructions to ensure proper routing.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of the transportation industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in writing routine reports and correspondence.
