About the Job: The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing commercial support to the sales and product development teams, focusing on financial performance analysis, forecasting, and improving data accuracy. This role involves managing financial plans, delivering customer and product profitability reports, and supporting the development of new products through financial assessments.

Opportunity: 5+ month contract
Location: Tampa, Florida (onsite)
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm
Start Date: February 2025


Responsibilities
  • Manage sales forecasting and enhancing accuracy by streamlining processes.
  • Assess and report on financial performance, identify gaps, and prioritize actions to meet financial goals.
  • Evaluate customer programs, including rebate structures, returns, and other deductions.
  • Produce concise, accurate, and repeatable gross profit reports for customers and products.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) team to improve forecast accuracy and unit volume predictions.
  • Provide reliable data analysis of pricing, product mix, and market share trends.
  • Ensure comprehensive business and financial plans for new product development.
  • Assist in creating accurate financial plans, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2-5 years of experience in a financial management or accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and reporting
  • Proficient with database management
  • Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills, especially in consolidating complex information into concise points
  • Capable of managing sensitive and confidential information with discretion
