Financial Analyst
Our client, a global Fortune 500 company with U.S. headquarters in North Carolina, is a world class food service provider with a strong presence across the nation. They are seeking a REMOTE Financial Analyst to join their team.
Opportunity: 12 month Contract with potential to hire
Location: REMOTE (must be based in Charlotte, NC or the surrounding area)
Pay: $30-31/hour
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, manage, and support technology leasing, including preparing and organizing lease schedules and creating lease and commission commitment schedules
- Analyze, scrub, and organize data from various sources and vendors, and research and escalate billing errors
- Research backup and support against vendor invoices, orders, and requests
- Create and maintain cost center and employee information on IT equipment
- Ensure business spend is with approved vendors and seek out potential cost savings
- Provide detail for project costing, budget, and cost controls for management, strategic projects, assets, and auditors, including backup and support for invoices, recoveries, and transfers
- Evaluate and report on deviations and trend analyses, and research and evaluate rates for recoveries and outside services
- Utilize various data sources in the preparation of analyses and evaluation
- Assist in the formulation of departmental budget requests, including documentation, investigation, and related budget impact studies
- Receive against purchase orders and reconcile invoices, allocate and pay IT expenditures across the company, and accrue missing delayed invoices during the monthly close process
- Create, validate, and process recoveries, charge-out uploads, project expenses, and transfers between cost centers, and set up recurring entries to spread maintenance or prepaid invoices evenly over the fiscal or calendar year
- Make payments via P-card and submit reconciliation and receipts
- Assist in application testing to ensure functionality and document processes and procedures
- Maintain data and configuration within multiple SQL and application servers
- Support and troubleshoot front-line and second-level connectivity issues with applications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance OR
- 5+ years accounting/finance/reporting experience for a large corporation
- Experience utilizing large ERP systems
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of recording financial aspects of various IT equipment within a company's accounting records
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- SAP and MS Access experience a plus
