HR Manager Summary: Our client, a leading retailer of premium home furnishings, is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and organized Human Resources Manager to join their team at our upholstery manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, the HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner, driving organizational effectiveness and supporting the company's financial and strategic objectives by managing human resources efficiently.
Location: Conover, NC Compensation: $105,000 to 115,000 + annual bonus Schedule: Monday to Friday (8-5)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver training materials, as well as performance management programs, to ensure employees and associates fully understand their job responsibilities.
Lead and coordinate organizational change initiatives, collaborating with all levels of management and staff to ensure smooth and effective implementation.
Investigate employee issues, conflicts, and policy violations, handling disciplinary actions and terminations as necessary.
Provide training, counseling, and coaching to employees, promoting growth and development.
Utilize workforce analytics and reporting to support the development, execution, and continuous refinement of the company's workforce strategy.
Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, engaging with employees at all levels to identify areas for improvement and offering proactive feedback to leadership.
Develop and maintain a compensation strategy for all employees, informed by market research and salary surveys, and ensure it remains current.
Support the company’s long-term goals by fostering the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of the associate workforce.
Ensure consistent application of all company HR policies.
Maintain updated organizational charts and employee directories.
Partner with management to align strategic HR goals with broader business objectives.
Oversee HR systems and processes, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Excellent knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
