Assistant Store Manager
CRG is partnering with a distinguished retail organization that is recognized for its quality products, community engagement, internal growth opportunities, and supportive work environment. We are currently in search of an Assistant Store Manager to join their team in Charleston! As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager and overall store operations to meet financial and sales goals, while demonstrating excellent hospitality for both customers and team members. Opportunity: Direct-Hire
Salary: $60,000 - $72,000 per year
+ 8-12% bonus
Location: Charleston, SC
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the store operations, employees, and inventory.
  • Assist with interviewing and hiring team members as needed.
  • Help train new employees on processes and procedures of store operations.
  • Ensure that direct reports understand performance expectations and hold them accountable for achieving budgeted results.
  • Help management with creating and managing employee schedules.
  • Consistently coach employees to further team development, maximize team productivity, and increase employee retention
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, answering questions and resolving customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist management in analyzing sales reports and other metrics to achieve store goals.
  • Maintain continuous awareness of store conditions through frequent and detailed store inspections.
  • Uphold sanitation and food safety standards throughout the store.
  • Facilitate effective communication with internal and external individuals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Work a flexible schedule, averaging 50 hours a week, including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays when needed.
  • Maintain a safe facility for customers and team members.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience working at a large-scale retail store
  • 2+ years working for a large-scale grocery retailer, warehouse club, or general-merchandise store.
  • 1-2+ years of retail management experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
