BI Developer II
Location: Charlotte, NC  (Hybrid)
Pay: $80,000-95,000 + 15% Annual Bonus

Responsibilities            

• Writing in SQL but will also have to pull in SQL as well
• Partner with their assigned department heads to gather business requirements, design, build and deploy various BI Solutions, focusing on automating systems and processes to develop operating efficiencies and enhance current capabilities
• Develops, builds, designs, and deploys business solutions, while maintaining advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using tools available in the landscape including and not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, Webi, Analysis for Office, Alteryx, Snowflake, SAP Hana, SQL Management Studio
• Develop and execute database queries and performs and documents data analysis, data validation, data mapping, design, produce data samples, prototypes and produce ad-hoc reports.
• Obtain and analyze data by accessing multiple sources and data warehouses.
• Demonstrate strong SQL skills to enable agile data analysis and data preparation for front end BI implementation
• Maintain business intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard, ad-hoc reports, and automated reports
• Look for ways to streamline report generation and provide business leaders with resources to enable informed decision making, including self-service tools that enable users to analyze data through many business dimensions with visibility to granular and historical data
• Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on systems issues, across platforms and systems to ensure quick service restoration of problems
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and customers to develop and define business requirements and specifications documents for defined problems; coordinates business plan for achieving desired outcomes, while having an understanding of department objectives
• Partner with the BI Lead in developing and executing project plans within the assigned schedule and timeline

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
• Expert Microsoft Office expert skills required
• SQL Required – 2+ years of experience
• Needs someone who is trustworthy, resourceful, and curious
• Tableau, Power BI – 60% of reports of in tableau

Preferred Candidate Qualifications: 

• Python experience is a plus
• Certifications are a plus but they really want someone with experience
• Software Experience
