Tax Manager

One of the largest local CPA firms in the Triad area, established over 70 years ago, is seeking a Tax Manager with individual and business income tax filing and compliance experience to deliver a full range of tax services in compliance laws and regulations. The Tax Manager will build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise regarding tax planning and complex income tax returns and have the opportunity to possibly move into a partner role in the future!

Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000
Location: Winston-Salem, NC – Hybrid Schedule

Responsibilities:

• Manage the department by coordinating staff and assessing their performance.
• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
• Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
• Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns. 
• Manage the tax provision and tax compliance processes.
• Manage and coordinate tax audits.
• Maintain tax balances on the general ledger.
• Prepare tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
• Oversee the extensions preparation process. 
• Implement procedures for the tax department. 

Qualifications:

• CPA certification 
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• 5+ years of tax experience at a CPA firm
• UltraTax, PPC Software, and Advanced Flow software experience preferred
