Collections Coordinator

CRG has recently launched a search for a REMOTE Collections Coordinator with our high growth-oriented distribution client that boasts a globally recognized brand. The Collections Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and monitoring a portfolio of customer accounts in order to mitigate cash flow issues due to the customer’s late payments, nonpayment, or short payments.

Opportunity: Long term Contract (with possibility of conversion) 
Compensation: $23.00/hour
Schedule: 100% REMOTE (after initial on-site training)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities:
  • Monitors customer payment portals, dispute information, and department reporting for payment information and missed invoices.
  • Initiates customer contact to collect and resolve past due balances while making decisions and/or recommendations to leadership on which accounts to block.
  • Leads the review and evaluation of department aging reports and SAP to create a worklist for collection contacts daily.
  • Serves as point of contact for customers who are missing or requesting invoice copies and statements.
  • Partners with the sales team if a customer invoice has an issue the customer has highlighted, such as charging tax or incorrect master data information.
  • Leads interactions with collectors, customers, and internal stakeholders on the resolution of broken Promise to Pay and makes decisions and/or recommendations to turn over to outside collections agencies.
  • Performs frequent customer account reviews and works with collectors on outstanding collections.
  • Identifies customers paying beyond company terms and develops collection strategies that result in the customer paying consistently to terms.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of collections experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Business Administration or Accounting Degree preferred
  • Manufacturing organizational experience preferred
