Senior Financial Analyst
Our global Fortune 500 client, with U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, NC, is a world class food service provider with a strong presence across the nation. They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst the join their team. The Senior Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for reserve analysis, balance sheet oversight, corporate reconciliations, internal control compliance, and off-ledger M&A accounting. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting and work closely with Financial Reporting, Financial Planning, Technical Accounting, other corporate departments, and sectors. Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis over specific balance sheet reserve accounts.
- Assist in annual audit by providing requested reports and schedules.
- Support oversight of corporate balance sheet by facilitating the review of reconciliations and holding monthly meetings with other accounting departments and sectors.
- Establish and maintain policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Coordinate with off-ledger subsidiaries to review monthly balance sheets and successfully upload results by the monthly deadline.
- Collaborate with business partners for an accurate and successful month-end close.
- Assist with overseeing monthly accounting close activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting
- CPA/CPA Candidate
- 2-3+ years of relevant experience (public accounting and/or industry)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
